Q: What is a QR Code ticket?
A: A QR Code is a two-dimensional bar code created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. QR is derived from Quick Response. Your QR Code ticket is created when your payment is accepted. Your specific code will be emailed and or texted to you. It may look like everybody else’s but it’s a code specifically personalised to your ticketing requirements, enabled thanks to Vodafone NZ Ltd.
To enter your chosen lectures, you will need to have a printout of your QR Code or the QR Code displayed on your smartphone for scanning.
Q: Why must I pick specific sessions?
A: Seating is limited. Depending on the room, CreativeTech can fit in 100, 150 or 200 people only.
The keynotes can each fit 330. To use out QR Code system, we have to have detailed information about attendance. Also, if you pass on (or someone steals) your QR Code ticket, whoever uses it first gets in, and whoever tries to use it after that will be barred, so protect your ticket.
(But this means illegal copying will not work – that's what 'non transferrable' means.)
Q: Can I change my ticket?
A: Afraid not. QR Codes are not transferrable.
